rest assured we’re not the only one in this nasty mess.  other world conquering sports are embroiled in controversy.  I’m sure it wont be too long before this guy gets busted… you can just see it, he’s flaunting it really…

some people are just amazing…

unfortunatly he has velcro shoes…..he can’t loop, swoop, pull

At first glance these look like horrific crashes….because they are.   but that’s when the strange stuff starts to happen….the riders get up, there fine.  right when the ambulance should be breaking out the spatula and a squeegee, they just get up and walk away.  which begs the question “how’d they do that?”

well i did some investigating and this is what i found was absolutly amazing.  we are way beyond conventional training techniques here….

And this is what was on the back of this video….

and this too

it seem there is a correlation with break dancing and winning criterium national championships.  Tina and Brad both happen to be national calibre breakers as well as being pretty good on the bike.  it just goes to show if you want to learn how to fall with some grace maybe its time to run down to the local dance academy

You might remember a few months back a girl died at a race in Illinois, Beth Kobeszka of XXX Racing-AthletiCo died at the Proctor Cycling Classic. well the other day a teammate of hers died at a local training crit…. the crit i grew up racing on. Pieter Ombregt hit a poll coming out of the last corner about 100 before the line…it seems as thought the setting sun maybe have played a factor. Chicago bike racing has a little bit more on the 27 year old from belgium as well as links to Pieter’s personal site.

triple X brings tons of new riders into the sport, including national champion and worlds medalist Rebecca Much.  thoughts and prayers are with pieter’s family, friends, and team.
