You should happily retract it, simply because it’s tacky and out of line for someone on your level. Whether O’Bee is correct or not, his protest doesn’t mean that he doesn’t like you, or hasn’t respect for your ability. It means that he contests the validity of the outcome. To take something like this personally — let alone moan about it in public — is to completely misunderstand what that process is for. But you’re growing; you’ll get it. In the meantime, step away from the crayons.
